概要	月曜日～金曜日　週5日制　9：00～14：00 年少～年長までの3年間幼稚園、保育園代わりに通うコース ※認可外保育施設届け出コース 2015年プリスクールが三室の新校舎へ移転した時に、認可外保育施設の申請を出し証明書を発行してもらいました。認可外保育施設とは、施設のみならず、保育内容、校医による検診、毎月の避難訓練等様々な基準が有り、さらに充実したスクールになりました。 ※三室校で実施、広い園舎と園庭を完備。 ※忙しいご家庭への万全のサポート。延長18：30まで毎日実施。

英語教育のみに偏らず、日本の幼稚園、保育園で行われている様々なイベント、行事、文化活動を取り入れ、自分を肯定し、他者への思いやりを持てる真の国際人を育成します。

Instead of focusing exclusively on English education, we try to offer events and cultural experiences similar to those offered by Japanese preschools and day cares so that we can encourage students to develop an identity as a Japanese person, affirm themselves, and become true internationally minded, global citizens who are considerate of others.

ALL English

教室の中は全て英語です。
子ども同士の会話も英語です。
英語を学ぶのではなく、英語で生活するので、楽しみながら英語が身につきます。
音を聞き分ける能力の臨界期以前に、英語に接することにより、苦労することなく、自然に英語の音を聞き分ける力がつきます。
フォニックスを指導することにより、読む力、書く力も身につきます。

The language of the classroom is entirely English. Students also only speak English with each other.
It is not so much that students study English as an object, but instead conduct their daily lives in English, and so they can have fun while acquiring English.
By coming into contact with English before the end of the Critical Period for language acquisition, without much struggle, students are able to naturally learn to listen to and understand English.
Through phonics instruction, students are able to become strong readers and writers.

セルフ・エスティーム（※）の確立

日本の一般の幼稚園では、一人の教師が多くの園児を指導することが多くみられますが、Karugamo Preschoolは少人数制ですので、子ども達一人一人に向き合う時間があり、きめ細かく指導することができます。
集団生活を通して、社会性、協調性、自主性を身につけることは子ども達一人一人が自立するために必要なことですが、その土台となるセルフ・エスティームの確立が大切と考えています。

Establishing Self-Esteem (※)
In many typical Japanese preschools, it is common for a single teacher to be responsible for a large number of students. Here at Karugamo, small class sizes allow teachers to spend quality time with each individual student and give them the specialized instruction and support they need.
Developing social skills, cooperation, and autonomy though participation in a group is critical for each student to become independent, but we believe the establishment of self-esteem is an important foundation for all of these things.

※セルフ・エスティームとは
日本ではまだなじみが薄い言葉ですが、「自尊心」、「自負（心）」、「自信」、「自己肯定」というふうに訳されています。セルフ・エスティームを一言で表すことは難しいのですが、自分の世界を持ち、自分の存在に自信を持って暮らすということではないかと思います。それができて初めて自分と異なった他人を認めることができます。これは子供たちが自立するために、また英語を学ぶうえで最も大切なことだと私たちは考えています。

※What is self-esteem?
While this is not yet such a familiar word here in Japan, it could be translated as meaning things like “self-respect,” “pride,” “self-confidence,” and “self-approval.” It is difficult to sum up self-esteem in a word, but the best way to put it might be being firmly grounded in your own world and living with confidence in yourself. It is only after developing this sense of self, that children can also begin to recognize others as well. In addition to learning English, self-esteem is a very important thing which will help children become independent.

様々な体験

好奇心旺盛な子ども達のために、季節の行事、アートクラス、自由なクラフト遊び、自然とのふれあいなど、様々な経験ができるよう指導しています。
園庭での外遊び、裸足での砂場遊びや、どろんこ遊び、夏に行う水遊び、プール遊びも子ども達のお気に入りです。
また、English Schoolという形にとらわれず、日本の幼稚園で経験する事をできるだけ取り入れるようにしています。

Diverse Experiences
For the benefit of our curious young learners, we try to offer a diverse range of experiences including seasonal events, art classes, free play on the grounds, opportunities to experience nature.
Our students love playing outside, going barefoot in the sandbox, playing in the mud, and in the summer time, playing in the water and the pool.
In addition, although we are an English school, as much as possible we try to also include activities that children might experience in a Japanese preschool.
